Those who knew Meryl always described her as unique. She was a trend-setter, had friends all over the world, loved all types of music and art, and could undoubtedly make anyone laugh. She was also a jack of all trades. After leaving high school, she went to cosmetology school, followed by phlebotomy school to become a dialysis technician. Regardless of her job title, she was passionate about working with people and lifting their spirits. On her off days, she could be found at the ceramics studio, painting, at the beach, at the movies or just lounging at home enjoying the company of her family and of course, her cats. We tragically lost Meryl in August of 2018 to a two-year long battle with addiction. She fought hard to combat the constant obstacles life threw at her, but ultimately lost. She was full of life, full of energy and laughs and she would be so grateful to be honored by her community is this way. We are so excited for the start of Remembering Meryl and for the years ahead of giving back in her name.
We are a big, busy, fun-loving family from Shrewsbury, MA. With five kids, all two years apart, it's no doubt that we are constantly on the move. Last summer, when we lost Meryl, it felt like our world stopped. For those who knew her, she was a firecracker. She is missed by so many, near and far. In her honor, we created Remembering Meryl, a nonprofit charity dedicated to supplying local art programs with the resources they need. We thank you for visiting our page!
